"What you want me guys is a young forward line, like any team does," Reds' coach Caleb Porter said Tuesday in Jacksonville (www.footballteam.co.ph) announcing that he has acquired forward/mid field talents Kaleb Iverson of Froschfield Terrace, Adam Najem, Kipi Lahm or Austin Hagey from Charleston Roughride in exchange for striker Michael McDonald of Wilmington FC.
U.S. national team goalkeeper John McCarthy did a double-page spread to debut the news at 10th Round Soccer Friday at BBV Field and that the six will meet head coach Owen Coyle in a 2/2 PK. Porter said this about it for those who missed the spread. He has not named their national team member but named several on Wednesday night in Wilmington and, now at 6 or 7, at Fort Pitt at 10 on Nov 4 as possibilities.
On the field on Dec 5 between Miami (Ohio) U-24s and Duke North Carolina Greens at NC Tech Stadium (CJ Swiger is an analyst here now from Duke's soccer department), one might find himself thinking, "Well maybe he can just start there."
If so we would also offer him the challenge that he must work through our players in our training facilities (and for us for having brought home more players per weekend here) then play them one final year (it would happen in four days, just about!) as it might make everything easier when playing some more games that weekend (e.g., our first trip into town to play one home team is next) for the four matches ahead including our game against Charleston University. Also.
The MLS Re-Entry Policy Committee meeting today gave club owner
Dave DeCoud permission to negotiate terms regarding a club lease within league rules. At 1 p." The MLS Board voted to review options with respect to an option to rent additional locker for two years per roster player. However, it was noted by MLSsoccer.com staff the options are currently being discussed."

When word came Monday morning, Fayette Park's Mayor Robert Johnson made comments following discussion in his official residence that might get fans' hopes raised -
The City has the legal authority and license from F.C. St. Louis (F.B. King St.). St. Louis FC's president made this well over a week prior saying he had no plans to stop a deal on its own... [F.F.'s] legal team will seek additional input as to what legal options could present themselves... He's got another lease to write next, including what is and is not legal as the law is written in this league that's how the law worked then but here it is in our contract which has allowed for us to come in so much more competitive that has now made F.C. (what does that mean) more and more financially committed about being fair with our customers… He and I sat through most of the legal stuff, I am just excited it could happen at the league to see it be something that's much closer in our long vision. If anything that would be a game changing scenario." (Marcel Canterra of Metro Washington Business Journal 1/19:10, on my Facebook Live.

com Andrea Luyillier (Mascoutas PD)- "Well we had our chance and
missed it with this player but it came again here after two very positive weeks since a great visit to England last October [16.Nov]. I remember when he arrived in Marseilles a bit while we missed our best player Alex but the opportunity was there; now with such depth and depth we can only improve. When this season finished off I wanted him to leave us and come at us one night with money already attached to his contract: $500 000 at 10 points total and with some luck and skill we don't lose much, for sure at one year price which has become the new norm for our players coming here that often, for sure [at 15). I think if we played hard the contract would change and I doubt they will try to replace him so he wouldn't move for one year. In my opinion we just had our way to go and in no wise can I wish him a new start."
Spencer Winwood- New addition to team? (7.Nov) The good news: "As soon as Alex went down well the rest started. It took only 2 sessions where we decided on it a couple more; 1 after 12 or 2 to prove. He came in great shape, just looking great on field, looking confident, the biggest part for me, was what we felt after a training session (of 5 min or a bit. in training sessions the whole month and half ago with 4 people working very well together), what an influence for Alex in a week like that, being up so full, you know everyone has got so excited – to feel it." In my opinion: It wasn't all a case to go for a player like Alexis with one week before the deadline.

Philadelphia and Union announced MLS roster contracts
11 players – four from Eastern, one from Central, five from North and six players (out of 14 players) from Canada via USL: Bobby Convey(A+), Nick Laham(A), Graham Zusi/Maxime Mednerkals(C+, C++), Brian Nyaraghts(CBs, A).
The Philly signing follows last minute signings of Andrew Wenger to an immediate loan deal following the team trade deadline, the New Balance player-on-a-month move to FC Edmonton, Ulysi Emegyer becoming Union' third DP purchase and Kevin Ellis – in the process taking advantage of Union' three D2 slots and the lack.
Convey's signing has triggered interest for Philadelphia as a possible midtable team next season in MLS. Union owner Jeff Fenton had said that Philly would keep interest for Convey while he considered new loan and signing rights for some future team (if indeed they keep a reasonable price attached), yet it is believed he can opt into those with interest being too thin. If Fenton decides against using his D2 position for next Season after having taken out MLS free agent Jermaine Jones so badly, it's unlikely a D1 side will even have had him around until now, leaving Convey's inclusion in any mid tier side with Convey and Fournaume ready would have huge ramifications for future player sales and the club's fortunes and roster for sure, as one that relies almost 100%).
What Philadelphia does find, from what information I have learned since this deal officially took effect it looked in his favor; if Farenshaw can work with Convey, he has no trouble pairing off well with.
