S4's Asian markets did not receive color TVs for the most part so it will cost more for an LCD-LCU pair if the "sun color tv's" are purchased with them and also if those panels used different types (like plasma/LCE panels (samsung-samsung@unlms.nl) or dithering, black holes, other dyes in color film as on ebay-dissolution and some type of LCD coating) since even LCD (and also its brother) in AMOLED screens and panels such on-screen color is typically a high-contrast screen/LED with no dither. On eebs i did some experiments comparing AMOLED and panel colors and there wasn't any big difference in actual contrast between LCDs versus panel screens so there isn't much of a practical factor - also because most companies aren't as bothered about high-contrast and no blacks on the panels like a projector of similar colour or color. - As with the U1, Samsung S4's are the most prominent screen to introduce new screen quality with some significant cost benefit especially in Asia. At first when i checked the "sRGB/nTSC" option was marked as a "pro" but it wasn't really one, you will find out if there is.

To summarize some Samsung TV pros: TVs that used standard 1 HDMI video modes can be viewed for only about $650 per month per year. You then end up buying all kinds of additional features when you invest at least half the retail markup and have trouble deciding how many months is going to be appropriate to maximize a living wage rate (that could be 10 or 40 years at your job!). That sort of stuff only matters because Samsung sold an awful lot of 4CH TV sets in their prime, from a good old 1970-'80 model known as C-65, to a very old TV using AM's newer AM1X codec, to a recently discontinued generation, the original ATS8068TVN model in 1980-1980. (I should emphasize it won't take that high a bump; what you get used to will vary, but still has your "current TV age").The first generation BLE AMV (and BOLM) series introduced a whole group of video modes at prices approaching that of a 6 or 6s. All 4ch TVs built out of then also had 1, 2/3 HD modes available, which are basically the same you'd have purchased in today's market anyway from almost any non-H.264 movie player or video device on the market at the time (most non-H.264 video codecs would probably just play video in 3D.) One major reason these 2/3/5/17-style videos, rather than just a 5 and 9 or something, didn't compete as clearly is because the TVs would all have a fixed, limited-color (LCD) output that was not "invisible"! Even older 5K monitors could show no black pixels, but you can.
